How you know it’s cracked — and why it’s urgent

A crack isn’t cosmetic like curb rash, and it isn’t a bend — it’s a break in the metal. The signs: a tire that goes flat overnight or needs air daily with no nail in it, a hairline line you can see or feel on the inner barrel or a spoke, or a faint hiss near the rim when the car’s parked. On aluminum a crack doesn’t stay put — heat and road impact grow it, and a cracked rim can lose pressure at speed. This is the one wheel problem you don’t wait on.

Why most mobile services turn this away

Welding an aluminum wheel properly takes a real welder and the right equipment, so most mobile services simply don’t offer it — the biggest names in LA, Dr. Wheel and Fenix, state plainly they don’t repair cracked rims. We do handle them: we work with a master welder to get the crack repaired, then make sure the wheel holds air before it goes back on your car.

03

How it works

  1. Text a photo of the crack and your zip code to (818) 572-7496. We’ll tell you if it’s weldable and give you a price — it depends on your location and how fast you need it.
  2. We pick up the wheel and a master welder repairs the crack.
  3. We pressure-test it to confirm it holds air — no slow leaks — and bring it back. Often same-day, depending on your location and the welder’s schedule.

Straight talk on the guarantee

A welded crack is a structural repair on metal that’s already been stressed — so, unlike our curb rash work, we don’t put a guarantee on the weld itself. What we do promise: we pressure-test every wheel and won’t hand back one that doesn’t hold air. And if a crack is too severe to repair safely, we’ll tell you before you’ve paid a dollar.

Mike was an absolute pleasure to conduct business with. He was professional, informative, punctual, and communicative throughout the process. His work is immaculate. I cannot tell where my rim was originally damaged. I am beyond satisfied with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone with curb rash.

Great job fixing a curb scratch off my 2025 Lexus LS500. This is a chrome rim and he was able to fix it flawlessly. Highly recommended.

I had curb rash on two of my rims and thought I’d have to buy new ones, but they saved me so much money! They came right to my house, fixed everything the same day, and now my rims look brand new. Super professional, quick, and way more affordable than I expected. Highly recommend if you want your car looking perfect again!

Questions, answered.

Is a welded rim safe to drive on?
When the crack is in a repairable spot and it’s welded properly, yes — and we pressure-test it to confirm it holds air before returning it. If a crack is too severe to trust, we’ll tell you and won’t do it.
Do you guarantee the weld?
We’ll be straight: a welded crack is a structural repair, so we don’t warranty the weld the way we guarantee curb rash. But we won’t return a wheel that doesn’t hold pressure.
Do you weld it at my house?
No — the actual weld is done by a master welder. We handle pickup and return and pressure-test it before it comes back. Often same-day.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your location and how fast you need it — text a photo and we’ll give you a firm price.
Bent and cracked?
Bent rims we straighten (bent rim repair); cracks get welded. Send a photo and we’ll sort out the order and price.

Don’t risk it at freeway speed.
